A woman was killed and a man was critically injured after their SUV slammed into a utility pole and caught fire in Orange County early Saturday morning, authorities said.
The solo-vehicle crash was reported around 2:55 a.m. at Knott Street and Acacia Avenue in Garden Grove, according to the Garden Grove Police Department.
Video from the scene shows a heavily damaged white SUV near the intersection, with its front end crushed and mangled. Debris was scattered around the vehicle as firefighters and police officers worked at the scene.
