A barn owl looking for an easy meal found itself in a sticky situation in Orange County this week.
Animal Services officers were called to rescue the owl after it became stuck in two pest-control glue traps while trying to reach a mouse that was already caught in them, the Irvine Police Department posted on Facebook on Wednesday.
The responding officers worked to remove the glue, which had sealed the owl’s beak and covered its body.
