Honda-ya, 556 El Camino Real in Tustin, will hold a Charity Japanese Festival on Sunday, Oct. 4, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The free event celebrating the 30th anniversary of Honda-ya’s sister restaurant Kappo Honda in Fountain Valley will feature 13 acts on stage and 25 booths.
Honda-ya planned a Guinness World Records attempt this year with 600 people eating California rolls at the same time. The timing didn’t work out for an official attempt, so the festival is doing it anyway as a practice run from 2 to 3:30 p.m. The California rolls are free…
