Orange Looks To Reduce Speed Limits On City Streets

Drivers in Orange may soon need to slow down as city officials consider reducing speed limits by five to 10 miles per hour on certain streets.

This initiative follows a state law passed a couple of years ago that gives local authorities more control over speed regulations, making it easier to adjust speed limits.

The Orange City Council recently voted unanimously on the first reading of an ordinance aimed at reducing speed limits on 47 street segments, including Katella Avenue, Taft Avenue, and Main Street.
