Civilian driver dead after LA County sheriff’s deputy sets off chain-reaction crash in Commerce

A driver is dead after a Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy set off a deadly chain-reaction crash in the City of Commerce while rushing to another emergency overnight.

The deputy was responding to a call about an unconscious person in the road in Cudahy when they crashed into a car, killing the civilian driver inside. That driver’s car then hit a third vehicle during the chain reaction.
