Inland Empire career criminal arrested for storage unit theft in Coastal OC

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. — A storage unit burglary investigation that began in Huntington Beach last month ended nearly 70 miles away when detectives located and arrested a suspect outside a residence in Colton.

According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, patrol officers investigated a storage unit burglary on Sept. 18. Detectives later identified a suspect described by police as a career criminal on Post-Release Community Supervision (PRCS) who was also wanted on a PRCS-related no-bail warrant. On Oct. 8, members of the department’s Special Investigations Bureau located the suspect and took the suspect into custody without incident before transporting the suspect back to Huntington Beach for booking.
