Stolen Corvette Located In Santa Clarita, Two Suspects Arrested

A corvette stolen out of Compton was recovered in Valencia by the help of OnStar with two suspects taken into custody Saturday.

A victim’s black Chevy Corvette was stolen out of the City of Compton last week, Deputy Kabrina Borbon, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station said.

The stolen car was equipped with OnStar, and Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Compton Station notified Santa Clarita Station that the corvette was approaching our city, according to Borbon.

“Within minutes a Santa Clarita patrol deputy saw the stolen car traveling northbound on the 5 Freeway and McBean Parkway,” Borbon said. “Deputies conducted a felony traffic stop, the victim’s car was recovered,   and a universal key generator inside the stolen car was taken off the streets.”

Gregorio Gonzalez from Oxnard and Jesus Gutierrez-Ventura from Bakersfield were arrested and booked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail.
