A budget airline that connects Southern California with underserved cities across the country is adding more destinations to its roster.
Breeze Airways announced Tuesday it had launched a new flight between Orange County and Grand Junction, Colorado. The flights will be offered Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays, and the inaugural flight took place this week.
As part of the launch, the airline is offering introductory ticket deals of $39 one-way for travel between April 23 and May 24.
Breeze also offers daily service to Provo, Utah, and will soon be offering a one-stop, no-plane-change service to Hartford, Connecticut, officials said.
The airline is adding more service out of John Wayne Airport this year, with five more destinations among new or returning routes.
The Santa Ana airport will have new flights to the following cities:
- Grand Junction, Colorado: Mon, Thurs and Sun; available now
- Ogden, Utah: Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat; beginning Feb. 21
- Orlando, Florida: Tues, Wed and Sat; beginning May 29
- Previously offered service returning on seasonal basis
- Columbus, Ohio: Thurs and Sun; beginning May 30
- Previously offered service returning on seasonal basis
- Tampa, Florida : Mon and Fri; beginning May 31
- New seasonal service
