Consistent rainfall dumps several inches of rain throughout Southern California; More rain looms

The National Weather Service issued an update today, highlighting the ongoing steady rain sweeping across a broad corridor from Orange County through the Inland Empire and the San Bernardino County Mountains.

Over the past 24 hours, the region has experienced consistent rainfall, resulting in widespread amounts ranging from 0.75 to around 1.25 inches. Notably, the coastal slopes of the San Bernardino County Mountains have witnessed heavier amounts exceeding 2 inches.

The precipitation is not confined to these areas alone, as light rain is making its way south and east into northern San Diego County.

The National Weather Service predicts that rain will continue to fill in across the county throughout the morning, and periods of on-and-off rain are expected to persist through the remainder of today and into Wednesday morning.

While the overall timing of the heaviest rainfall remains uncertain, meteorologists caution residents to stay vigilant and be prepared for fluctuating weather conditions.
