Small earthquake gives Long Beach a light jolt

A small earthquake hit Long Beach just before 12:30 p.m. today, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The USGS reported a preliminary magnitude of 2.6 and showed the epicenter was near the Traffic Circle.

People across the city reported feeling some weak to light shaking, according to the USGS’s Did You Feel It tool .
