Amber Alert: Man sought in abduction of 1-year-old son in Los Angeles County

An Amber Alert was issued overnight for a child abduction out of West Covina in Los Angeles County.

Officers are searching for 46-year-old Wesley Williams who is suspected of fleeing with his 1-year-old son during an argument with his girlfriend on Tuesday, a West Covina Police Department spokesperson said.

An Amber Alert notifying the public of the search for Williams and the child, identified as Weston Landrum, was posted on X , formerly Twitter, by the California Highway Patrol shortly after 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Investigators said Williams was last seen on North Grand Avenue in West Covina on Monday around 9 p.m.

He was said to be driving a white 2014 Toyota Tacoma with California plate 75001B3.

Further details surrounding the dispute and abduction were not provided but the child was described as having blond hair and blue eyes and was wearing camouflage pants and a gray shirt with a picture of a “bunny,” according to the CHP.

The boy stands just 3 feet tall and weighs about 20 pounds.
