Long Beach sees first decrease in homelessness since 2017

LONG BEACH, Calif. – The city of Long Beach reported its first decrease in homelessness since 2017. Newly released findings from the 2024 Homeless Point in Time Count reveal that Long Beach identified 3,376 people experiencing homelessness in January 2024. That number is slightly down compared with 3,447 people in 2023.
