Homicide detectives have launched an investigation into a deadly overnight shooting in South Gate, and new information indicates the two victims were in a gang.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were dispatched to the 8000 block of San Luis Avenue at 2:03 a.m. Saturday on calls of a shooting.
When they arrived, they found the two victims, identified only as Hispanic men, both suffering from gunshot wounds to the torso.

Both men are known members of a gang, deputies added.
