“More earthquakes mean more earthquakes” – Dr. Lucy Jones
Most of us know that on October 6th, 2024, another earthquake struck Southern California, over 4.0 in magnitude and with a recorded depth of 5.2 km. The quake was reported 4.3 miles southeast of Ontario, CA, at 3:51 a.m.
The quake that rattled the Inland Empire in the early morning hours rattled homes and businesses and woke residents across the region. The epicenter is just south of Highway 60 near the Ontario International Airport.
However, according to KTLA https://ktla.com/news/california/seismologist-warns-of-increased-earthquake-activity-in-southern-california/ that quake that jolted the region is part of a much broader trend of increased seismic activity in Southern California and is likely to continue.
