Anaheim Welcoming a Unique Korean-Inspired Restaurant

Anaheim is set to welcome Saemo, a new limited-service restaurant that promises to bring Korean-American comfort cooking to the city. Slated to open in the historic MAKE Building at 500 S Anaheim Blvd, it will bring a unique dining experience to the already vibrant area.

Founder Arnold Byun has a vision for Saemo that extends beyond just food. As a Korean American entrepreneur and co-founder of MAUM—a platform dedicated to amplifying Asian American founders—Byun is committed to showcasing Asian culture through culinary arts.

The restaurant will feature a menu that focuses on simplicity and seasonal ingredients, including signature items such as Korean Chicken Sando, Kimchi Fried Rice, and Popcorn Chicken. It’s built around the “rule of thirds,” offering three main dishes, three sides, and three sauces, which will rotate twice a year.

The MAKE Building, where Saemo will reside, has a rich history, originally serving as a factory in the early 1900s. The space has been revitalized into a community hub that also hosts local breweries and distilleries.
