DOWNEY – A late-night crash over the weekend resulted in two fatalities, the second deadly incident to occur this year at the intersection of Downey and Florence avenues. According to Downey Police, on Oct. 11 at approximately 10:56 pm, a 17-year-old male resident of Whittier was driving westbound on Florence when he collided with a vehicle traveling southbound on Downey Avenue.
