An Irish pub in Orange County is appealing to the public after their sign was stolen during a move.
Silky Sullivan’s Restaurant & Irish Pub has been a longstanding family spot in Fountain Valley for almost 40 years. Owner Bill Madden said their beloved sign , which has been hanging above the front door, was stolen on November 29.
The sign had been temporarily removed while the business moved to a new location across the street, and had been placed out the back of the restaurant with a tarp over it. However, Madden soon noticed that the sign, which is worth thousands of dollars, had been taken.

Despite the old location being right across the street from the police station, Madden said so far, nobody has been able to provide any information about the stolen sign.
He spoke to KTLA, saying: “It doesn’t make any sense to me because what are they going to do with it? ’Oh, I got Silky’s sign in my backyard.’ If anyone sees it, they’ll go, ‘They’re looking for that sign. They want that sign.’”
