ANAHEIM, California — As the one-year anniversary approaches, Anaheim police continue to investigate the January 2024 homicide of 49-year-old Marcy Aguilar, of Anaheim, California. Aguilar was found with gunshot wounds on the porch of an apartment on E. Wakefield Avenue and later died at a local hospital.The incident occurred on January 24, 2024, at approximately 3:17 a.m., when Anaheim Police Dispatch received a report of a shooting, according to the Anaheim Police Department. Responding officers and Anaheim Fire & Rescue personnel discovered Aguilar collapsed and suffering from at least one gunshot wound.Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, specific details remain undisclosed. However, detectives believe there are additional witnesses with critical information that could assist in solving the case.
