SAN CLEMENTE, California — Deputies responded to reports of gunshots near Calle Campana and Calle Canasta on December 7, 2024, around 5:35 p.m. Two individuals were later found at Mission Viejo Hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot injuries.Deputies discovered shell casings and other evidence of a possible shooting at the scene, according to a press release from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. Several individuals were seen fleeing the area, and others were detained for further investigation. OCSD Gang investigators are assisting with the ongoing investigation, which is believed to be gang-related.
