As Santa Ana winds subside, high clouds will signal a Pacific weather system arriving Thursday, bringing moisture, gusty winds, cooler temperatures and scattered light rain west of the mountains, according to the National Weather Service.
High temperatures Thursday are expected to reach 65 near the coast, 64 to 69 in the western valleys, 56 to 64 in the mountains and 73 to 77 in the desert, the NWS said.
Conditions will dry out on Friday before another system brings chances of light rain and increased west winds late Saturday into Sunday.
Early to mid-next week is expected to bring warmer weather with periods of offshore winds, according to meteorologists.
