Southern California is in for a week of fluctuating weather. Today, temperatures will hover near normal with abundant sunshine and light winds, though gusts of up to 30 mph are hitting areas below Cajon Pass. By Monday, temperatures will warm slightly as a ridge of high pressure spreads across the region.
Tuesday through Thursday, expect above-average temperatures, low humidity, and weak to moderate Santa Ana winds. Gusts could reach 50 mph in the San Bernardino Mountains and below Cajon Pass. Lower elevations may see highs in the lower 80s.
By Friday, winds will ease, and a gradual cooling trend will settle in through the weekend. While northern California could see rain next weekend, Southern California is unlikely to see precipitation before Christmas.
