In recent weeks, mysterious drones have been spotted in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania . And now, a Huntington Beach man said he and his neighbors spotted their own aerial phenomena on Sunday night.
Hos Marks told KNX News’ Emily Valdez that around 8 p.m., he saw more than 20 large drones flying together in a group.
“They had a blue light, green light, white light and [were] going from the ocean to going north or they would turn and go west,” he said. “They stayed up till one o’clock in the morning.”
He added that he doesn’t believe this is a practical joke.
“A practical joke is with one or two drones, but these were in the dozens,” he said.
He said he reported the incident to the FAA but hasn’t heard back.
The FAA issued a statement to KNX News explaining that they are investigating the unidentified drone sightings in New Jersey, but drones are legal to fly if they stay below 400 feet.
