In the rear of a job site in the industrial area of Anaheim, California, a small dog shook inconsolably as she hid behind pallets of tiles. There had been only one way into the industrial site, and that had been through the front gate facing a busy street. There was not a home in the entire area.
Where had she come from? Did some heartless person just drop her off to fend for herself? No doubt, she had once been someone’s pet.
