California to be smothered as huge fog blast predicted before rain storm lashes city

The cooling trend continues in California as the Southern region, including LA , is set to see cooler temperatures for the rest of the week. Fog is expected throughout , and rain is likely to make an appearance over the weekend.

Wednesday temperatures will mostly be in the 60s and 70s, with a cloudy start to the day. By Saturday, light rain is expected to sweep the region and the mountains could even see snow.

By the afternoon, Los Angeles and Orange counties should receive some much-needed sunshine, and temperatures should rise to 72 degrees. However, temperatures are likely to cool down from Thursday onwards.
