Three Santa Ana High School students were stabbed Wednesday, one fatally, during a fight that occurred as students were leaving for the day.

The fight occurred around 3:20 p.m. Wednesday in the shared parking lot of the neighboring Heninger Elementary School at 417 W. Walnut St., according to Fermin Leal, a spokesman for the Santa Ana Unified School District.
The three victims were taken to a hospital with one listed in critical condition and the others expected to survive, said Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Sean Doran. The student in critical condition later died, Santa Ana Police Department Officer Natalie Garcia said.
