Mother’s Day cooldown for California as snow to hit after record-breaking heat

Southern California has been baking in sizzling temperatures over the last few days after a surprise mini heatwave hit the region but the hot weather is set to come to a quick end today.

Soaring temperatures began hitting the region on Friday following a stretch of gloomy weather. Record-breaking heat was recorded in Woodland Hills, which reached 102 degrees, and Burbank, which hit 98 degrees.

Saturday was another hot day as even coastal temperatures reached the 80s. But just as quickly as it came, the heatwave is set to end. A cooldown on Sunday will bring more pleasant temperatures just in time for Mother’s Day before temperatures plummet again next week…
