A reward of $20,000 is being offered to anyone with information leading to a man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend and her daughter in Compton last month.
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors is offering the reward in hopes that the public will help authorities find Donte Brown, 41, the “estranged boyfriend” of 45-year-old La’von Hall, who was fatally shot alongside her 22-year-old daughter Ma’Laysia Martin on April 1.
Hall and Martin were at a stoplight at Caldwell Street and South Central Avenue that evening when Brown allegedly drove up alongside the victims’ vehicle and opened fire before fleeing southbound on South Central Avenue.
