CBP: Cruise Ship Passengers Tried to Smuggle 749 Cartons of Cigarettes at Southern California Port

LONG BEACH, Calif. — U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Long Beach Cruise Ship Terminal intercepted a major tobacco smuggling attempt when they seized 749 cartons of undeclared cigarettes on April 17 from two passengers arriving from Ensenada, Mexico, the agency stated.
