Silver Alert Issued for Two Elderly Women Missing from Artesia Assisted Living, LA County Sheriff Seeks Public’s Help

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has issued a Silver Alert for two elderly women, Brenda Cansler, 74, and Doreen Rena Kincywhite, 67, who have gone missing from an Artesia assisted living facility. Both women suffer from dementia and were last seen on Sunday, May 18, 2025, around noon on the 11900 block of Artesia Boulevard. The Sheriff’s Department is urging anyone with information to urgently step forward and assist in locating them.

Brenda Cansler is described as a 74-year-old Black female, standing 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants, and hoop earrings. Doreen Rena Kincywhite is described as a 67-year-old female, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 110 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was observed wearing a black sweater, black pants, and Croc shoes topped with a pink shower cap, and is known to use a cane to help maintain her balance while walking. According to a FOX LA report, the circumstances surrounding their disappearance are not yet clear.

The sheriff’s department emphasizes the need for community assistance in these cases. “There is concern for her well-being,” the department stated regarding Ms. Cansler’s situation. In parallel, the plea is equally pressing for Ms. Kincywhite, whose family is concerned for her safety.
