Santa Ana, CA (June 7, 2025) – At around 6:35 p.m. on June 7, a multi-vehicle collision happened on southbound Interstate 5 at Jamboree Road, involving at least three cars, including a black BMW sedan described by the CHP.
The orange CHP unit and Orange County Fire Authority crews quickly arrived to find vehicles blocking the number 1 and middle lanes, with one car on its side and airbags deployed. A male driver was outside his vehicle, clutching his back, and three others remained trapped inside. First responders stabilized all injured parties on the scene; two were later transported to a local medical center. CHP is investigating whether driver distraction or speed played a role.
