Nearly five months after wildfires swept across Los Angeles County, federal recovery support has surpassed $3 billion, according to the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
The funds include direct financial assistance to individuals and families, as well as loans for rebuilding. FEMA has approved more than $136 million for survivors through its Individual Assistance program. That total includes more than $42 million for housing-related expenses and over $93 million to help residents cover other essential needs.
