Man, 59, arrested after fatal Orange County motel shooting

A man from Anaheim was arrested after a deadly shooting at a motel over the weekend, police said.

According to an Anaheim Police Department news release, officers responded to the Villa Inn, located in the 700 block of South Beach Boulevard, just before 6:15 p.m. on Saturday regarding a shooting call.

“Officers arrived and found the victim, a male adult in his 60s, suffering from at least one gunshot wound,” the news release states. “Paramedics treated him at the scene and immediately transported him to a hospital [where he] was pronounced deceased approximately one hour later.”
