Montebello approves $100k to support families affected by immigration raids

The Montebello City Council has unanimously voted to create an emergency fund for families who have been affected by the recent ICE raids in Los Angeles.

The Montebello Humanitarian Services Program launched this week to provide undocumented communities with legal and mental health resources.

“These ICE raids have left children without parents, homes without income, families in fear,” said Montebello Mayor Salvador Melendez. “Our city council took the steps to allocate $100,000 in direct aid to our community.”…
