A routine rescue turned tragic, recently, in Orange County, California. A Seal Beach Lifeguard jumped off the pier to rescue a swimmer in trouble, but his buoy got tangled on the structure, slamming him into the pylons, and making him a human marionette.
Good news, though, the lifeguard was all good after the accident. See the footage here:
“I was right next to him when it happened,” said one witness. “He had the orange buoy that was strapped to his wrist. As he tried to jump, the orange buoy got caught on the railing, and he hung for a few seconds. It was pretty scary.”…
