Horseback officers track down man who vandalized local police department building

Officers on horseback tracked down and helped detain a man who the Fullerton Police Department says was vandalizing their headquarters.

The incident took place “over the weekend,” according to a social media post from Fullerton police; a specific date and time were not disclosed.

“Over the weekend, a male suspect decided to vandalize the police department,” FPD’s Instagram post reads. “Not exactly a smart move, especially with our extra horsepower on duty.”

The department’s Mounted Unit and other motor officers quickly tracked the man down and took him into custody.
