A suspect was taken into custody after allegedly assaulting a deputy with a car, initiating a pursuit and then barricading in a San Gabriel Valley home early Thursday morning.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, it was around 2 a.m. when deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on an adult male driver in the 19500 block of East Walnut Drive in the City of Industry. Officials did not say why the man was pulled over.
Unconfirmed reports from the stringer service KNN say the suspect then hit a deputy with his vehicle, leading to a deputy-involved shooting, though LASD did not comment on the possible collision.
