Budget airline Avelo announced on Monday that it will shutter its Hollywood Burbank Airport base by early December. For more than four years, Avelo has operated out of the Southern California airport as a major partner. The airline launched under its current brand name during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, quickly expanding operations in Burbank with flights to Northern California, Oregon and Montana.
