Downtown Disney has recently welcomed some great new restaurants and shops as part of its ongoing transformation, and more new additions are in the works, including the highly anticipated Porto’s Bakery and a new two-story Earl of Sandwich.
Porto’s Bakery will be an expansive new location built on the site of the temporary Earl of Sandwich/former La Brea Bakery. Since the Earl of Sandwich pop-up opened on the west side of Downtown Disney and construction of the permanent two-story location has kicked off, many months have passed. Earl of Sandwich Closing Delayed
Disneyland has confirmed that the Earl of Sandwich closure has been delayed. Earl of Sandwich Tavern and Earl of Sandwich quick-service were both supposed to close this weekend, but this will no longer be the case.

Due to the scale of this project, there are still some steps left before construction can begin. We recently got an indication of the restaurant’s massive scale from the permit that Disneyland filed to demolish the current building and two ticket booths.
