The city of Long Beach will host its first open-container event, allowing people to drink outdoors.
The event will take place in the city’s first-ever Entertainment Zone, part of a city-approved pilot program that allows temporary open-container areas during special events.
Dubbed the “EZ Sip Launch Party,” the event will take place from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Aug. 2, along the Promenade, between Broadway and 3rd Street.
