Anaheim Police Charge Man for Alleged Local Assaults, Garden Grove Rape

A 35-year-old man charged with sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl nearly five years ago and raping and robbing a woman last year in Anaheim was also accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Garden Grove three years ago, police said Tuesday.

For the Anaheim cases, Victor Hernandez Cortes was charged Monday with single counts each of rape and robbery and three counts of lewd acts with a minor younger than 14, all felonies. He also faces a sentencing enhancement for the use of a deadly weapon.

But in July of 2022, he allegedly lured a 51-year-old woman into his car at Beach Boulevard and Chapman Avenue in Stanton with an offer to buy her a drink, Garden Grove police Sgt. Nick Jensen said.
