Suspects steal multiple vehicles, drive down wrong side of freeway during wild pursuit across L.A. County

A pair of armed suspects led authorities on a pursuit across Los Angeles County overnight, stealing at least three vehicles — including a semi-truck — and driving the wrong way down freeways as they made their way from Lancaster to Boyle Heights.

Per a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson, deputies responded to the 2100 block of Benfar Drive at 10:20 p.m. Sunday for a vehicle theft call. The address provided by LASD is within a residential neighborhood near the corner of 20th Street East and Avenue K.

“When deputies arrived on scene, the victim told them two Hispanic men stole his Ford F-250 pickup truck,” the LASD spokesperson told KTLA. “The victim said he got into another vehicle to follow the suspects.”…
