Los Angeles, CA – A year-and-a-half-long investigation into a string of nighttime commercial burglaries across Southern California has led to multiple arrests in Long Beach and Alhambra.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, detectives with the Major Crimes Bureau’s Metro Detail began investigating a series of liquor store, tobacco shop, and convenience store burglaries in Los Angeles County. Authorities later determined the same group was allegedly responsible for more than 50 break-ins throughout Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties.
The suspects reportedly wore hooded sweaters and masks to conceal their identities, using power tools to force entry. Investigators said they stole high-end alcohol, cigarettes, cash, and even pried open ATM machines.
