A Garden Grove man armed with a shotgun – which discharged in the direction of Huntington Beach police officers – was arrested early Wednesday morning and faces 11 charges, including assault with a deadly weapon on those officers.
According to the HBPD, the incident began at around 12:15 a.m. in the area of Huntington Street and Portland Circle. Officers on proactive patrol attempted attempted to stop a “suspicious” vehicle and a pursuit began.
A solo crash ensued at Adams Avenue and Main Street and the suspect fled on foot. The suspect – later identified as Anh Tran, 33, of Garden Grove – had exited his vehicle with a shotgun, which discharged as officers approached…
