Fiery Orange County multi-vehicle crash leaves 1 dead, 3 injured, including child

One person is dead, and three others hospitalized, including one child, after a fiery crash in Santa Ana involving two cars and a large landscaping truck.

First responders with the Orange County Fire Authority received reports of the fatal multi-vehicle collision on Santiago Canyon Road near Silverado Canyon Road at around 1:15 p.m. on Thursday.

Medical personnel rushed three people, two adults and a minor, to the hospital in unknown condition. A fourth person, described only as an adult, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Aerial footage captured by Sky 5 showed two of the charred cars, along with the landscaping truck at the scene. One of the cars that caught fire was so mangled as to be unrecognizable, while the other burnt car had heavy damage across the entire vehicle. The landscaping truck also suffered heavy front-end damage.
