In the quiet of the early morning, a disruption shattered the calm in Long Beach, with reports of gunfire leading to police engagement and a subsequent arrest. On the 5800 block of Elm Avenue, around 1:50 a.m. on September 4, officers from the Long Beach Police Department were called to the scene of a shooting, according to the LBPD blotter.
