Long Beach Man Arrested for Stabbing Following Altercation; Separate Stabbing Incident on Linden Avenue Under Investigation

The Long Beach Police Department responded to two separate stabbing incidents on September 13, with one resulting in the arrest of a Long Beach man. According to an official report from the LBPD, the first incident took place around 4:49 p.m. on the 6300 block of Cherry Avenue, where an altercation led to a stabbing. The victim, a male adult, sustained a non-life-threatening wound to the upper body. Officers also contacted the suspect at the scene.

The suspect, identified as Daniel Eleazer Holgun, 43, was treated at a local hospital and then booked on charges including battery and exhibiting a deadly weapon other than a firearm. Holgun’s bail was reportedly set at $10,000, and the investigation into this incident is still ongoing. Details around the nature of the altercation have yet to be disclosed by authorities.

The second stabbing of the day occurred earlier and was reported at around 11:40 a.m. on the 5600 block of Linden Avenue.
