Harrowing video captured the moments police officers bravely responded to a burning Westminster home and saved a bedridden woman’s life.
According to the Westminster Police Department, units were dispatched to a home near Springdale Street and Chinook Avenue this past Thursday. The bodycam footage posted to Instagram by the department indicates the call came in just after 9 a.m.
“The reporting party stated they were stuck inside their room due to being partially bedridden, and smoke was entering their room,” Westminster police said. “WPD officers arrived and saw the garage was fully engulfed in flames, which were spreading quickly to the residence.”
