Five people were hospitalized Saturday after a helicopter crashed near the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Huntington Street in Huntington Beach, California.
Huntington Beach firefighters said the crash occurred just after 2 p.m. during the “Cars ‘N Copters” event. Two people were on board the helicopter and were safely pulled from the wreckage. Three pedestrians on the street were also injured and transported to nearby hospitals.
Smoke was reported from the crash but was later extinguished. Authorities have not released further details on the victims’ conditions or the cause of the crash. First responders remain on the scene.
