Man took generator, tools from Pico Rivera hardware store: LASD

A man walked out of a Pico Rivera hardware store without paying for a generator and tools on Monday, and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is asking for help in identifying him.

At about 5 p.m., the man entered a hardware store in the 8500 block of Whittier Boulevard, “placed a tool set, power inverter, tool box and a generator into a cart, then walked out the front entrance without attempting to pay for the items,” the LASD said in a news release.

A Harbor Freight location is in that area.

Investigators said the thief is between 25 and 40 years old and between 5-foot-8 and 6-foot-2 in height. His weight is estimated at about 200 pounds, and he has dark-colored eyes and a shaved head…
