Man Fatally Shot by Woman at Compton Beauty Supply Store After Alleged Assault and Threats

A confrontation at a Compton beauty supply store turned deadly after a man was fatally shot by a woman who told investigators she feared for her safety. The incident happened Sunday around 3:30 p.m. at the Pink Beauty Supply Store on East Alondra Boulevard, according to ABC7.

Authorities say the man entered the store after a female customer and allegedly groped her, prompting employees to demand he leave. When asked to exit, the man reportedly became enraged, shouting at workers and customers. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office (LASD) said in a statement that the situation quickly escalated. “He started throwing and damaging merchandise in the store. The incident rapidly escalated,” the statement reads.

Witnesses told investigators that the man appeared to be armed with a knife as he continued to threaten people inside.
